Operating Policies

 

Management Policies

1.           All management members of the CoP are on voluntary basis, and will receive no salaries or allowance whatsoever.

2.           The founding members of the CoP are elected to be the first management board and will be re-elected on needed basis.

3.           Any registered member of the CoP can nominate himself / herself or other members to be a candidate of the management board.

4.           The management board has the right to regulate the operating policies of the CoP.

 

Technology Policies

1.           Common freeware are preferred.

2.           Technology chosen should attain maximum interoperability between different technology platforms.

 

Membership Policies

1.           There is no restriction on gender, age, race, language spoken, educational background, religious believes, political background, or whatsoever to become a registered member of the CoP.

2.           All interested parties can enroll as a registered member of the CoP free of charge.

3.           Services provided to members are free of charge.

4.           All registered members are obliged to comply to the memberships' terms and conditions of the CoP.

5.           Registered members has the right to retired from membership of the CoP totally at his / her own will.

6.           The management board of the CoP has the ultimate right to force retirement of any member if he / she is proven to breach any operating policy and terms and conditions of membership of the CoP.

7.           Members are fully responsible for any direct or inferred damage, physical, financial or emotional, to any individual, organization, community, or country, so caused from the content of discussion brought forward by him / her to the CoP.

 

Intellectual Property Policies

1.           All members are responsible for protection of intellectual properties rights of the third parties on whatever he / she brings into discussion in the CoP.

2.           All published materials of the CoP after consolidation, analysis, review and editorial work on the discussions of the members by the management board will be intellectual properties of the CoP.

3.           Any person who make reference to the content of the Community should acknowledge the Community.

 

Discussion Content Policies

1.           Discussion content of the CoP must be and only be related to personal knowledge management technology, skills and experience sharing.

 

Content Management Policies

1.           The management board will regularly consolidate, analyze, review, edit and extracting the essence of the discussion materials into the knowledge database of the CoP for members¡¦ reference.

2.           Knowledge database of the CoP is open to all members for reference at no charge.
